New Delhi| Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that mass testing is the key to fight the coronavirus pandemic, and currently, India is “nowhere in the game.”
Shedding the light upon the country’s testing rate, Rahul said that with the testing rate of 149 per million, India is in the company of countries like Laos, Niger, and Honduras.
Rahul said, “India delayed the purchase of testing kits & is now critically short of them.”
He further added, “With just 149 tests per million Indians, we are now in the company of Laos (157), Niger (182) & Honduras (162). Mass testing is the key to fighting the virus.”
Commenting on the testing rate of the country, Rahul said, “At present, we are nowhere in the game.”

According to the Health Ministry site, India on Tuesday have 9272 active cases of coronavirus. 353 people have died because of coronavirus infection. 1189 people have been recovered/ discharged.
