Hathras| Slamming UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his failure to ensure the safety of women in the state, Former UP CM and BSP chief Mayawati has sought Centre’s intervention in the matter. The Dalit leader also demanded President’s Rule be imposed in the state. Her statement came hours after Uttar Pradesh reported another case of Brutal gangrape with a Dalit college student in Balrampur.
She said that she thought that Yogi Adityanath govt will take steps after the nation-wide outrage post-Hathras incident. “I feel that anti-social elements have taken over the state completely and there is no rule of law left in Uttar Pradesh,” Mayawati said. She added that the Balrampur incident is a replay of Hathras incident and demanded that President’s Rule should be imposed in the state.
