MiG 21 Crashes In Punjab’s Moga, One IAF Pilot Killed

Earlier on March 17, the fighter plane MIG-21 crashed during flight in an accident. The Air Force captain lost his life in this accident.

 

An airforce fighter plane MIG-21 crashed on Thursday night at Langiana Khurd village in Moga district of Punjab. Pilot squadron leader Abhinav Chaudhary has died in the accident. The Air Force has ordered an inquiry into the incident.

According to media reports, during a training session, pilot Abhinav Chaudhary took off in MiG-21 to Suratgarh in Rajasthan, but the aircraft crashed in Moga.

 

The MIG-21 bison crashed in March as well

Earlier on March 17, the fighter plane MIG-21 crashed during flight in an accident. The Air Force captain lost his life in this accident. Earlier in January also a MiG-21 bison crash was reported in Suratgarh, Rajasthan. Reportedly, the aircraft had a technical fault during the flight.

The MiG-21 was called the backbone of the Airforce

The MiG-21 was once called the backbone of the Indian Air Force, but now this aircraft is outdated. Despite the upgrade, it is neither fit for war nor fit for flight. In the last 5 years, more than 483 MiG aircraft have suffered an accident. More than 170 pilots have lost their lives in these accidents.
