Mohan Bhagat: “Divides are widened to political advantage”

Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Mohan Bhagat on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami or Dussehra in a speech said that the divides are widened to gain political power.

He targeted the government in different states and said they should work in unison with the centre rather than using the religious difference to stay in power, “There is a divide between the two states in India, the police of both states attack each other kill each other. Political competition makes governments of different states fight which is wrong, parties fighting is okay but one state’s government fighting with another is not.”

He said that divides on the basis of differences are widening to political advantage, “According to the constitution we are a federal structure but also we are one nation, facilities are federal not people. But this healthy nature is not seen in people who are in power then how will the nation grow? Divides in nations are widening or getting eradicated, without thinking about this the politics is played. These dirty games are played to win and they find small dire situations in this huge nation and make the small incidence huge, to create dissatisfaction and increase the religious divide.”

He also said that Over the Top (OTT) platforms are uncontrollable.“After the outbreak of the pandemic, nearly every child has a mobile phone and what they watch on their cellphones is not controlled,” he said.

Bhagwat said that the use of narcotics is also increasing in India. Seemingly training his guns on Pakistan, he said such activities are encouraged by certain bordering countries and the money is used for anti-national activities in India.

He said that cryptocurrencies are uncontrollable, saying, “Clandestine, uncontrolled currencies, like Bitcoin, have the potential to destabilise the economy of all countries and pose serious challenges. The government must take steps to control these things.”
