Mumbai | Last month netizens got a shock when Bollywood actor Rahul Bose was billed a whopping amount of Rs 442 for a pair of bananas. In a new case of hotels charging exorbitantly, a Twitter user shared a picture of a bill, which showed that he got 2 boiled eggs for an amount of Rs 1700.
After actor Rahul Bose’s banana controversy that resulted in a Rs 25,000 fine on JW Marriott hotel by the Excise and Taxation Department of Chandigarh, Twitter user Kartik Dhar has posted a bill with the caption: “2 eggs for Rs 1700 at the @FourSeasons Mumbai.

Author-photographer Kartik Dhar was even charged the same for two omelettes.
The hotel was yet to issue a statement on this.
Dhar’s message on the micro-blogging site was retweeted or shared by 1,200 users and there were hundreds of comments on the same.
