Mumbai| The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is investigating the drugs angle in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, filed a chargesheet in the NDPS court in Mumbai on Friday. It is 30 thousand pages long report. The chargesheet names 33 accused, including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. Five accused are said to be absconding. The statements of actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have also been included in these documents.
This charge sheet has been prepared on the basis of reports of drug seizures and confiscated electronic devices, forensic reports, statements of witnesses. There are 50 thousand pages of digital evidence separately. The charge sheet records the statements of about 200 witnesses.

33 people have been arrested in this case so far
In this case, 33 people were arrested by the NCB. These include Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Sushant’s manager Samuel Miranda, Deepesh Sawant and several drug peddlers. In another case, NCB also questioned some famous actresses in Bollywood after getting clues from this case.
Supplementary Chargesheet can have more big names
According to sources, after three months of this main charge sheet, NCB can also present a supplementary charge sheet, which may contain the names of many Bollywood celebrities. Two months after Sushant’s death, his father filed a case in Patna. The case was against 5 people including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family members. They were all accused of grabbing 17 crore rupees from Sushant. After this, Rhea Chakraborty requested the Supreme Court to transfer this case to Mumbai.

The court handed over the case to the CBI. Then Enforcement Directorate (ED) also entered this case and the investigation of Rhea’s WhatsApp chat revealed an angle of drugs. After getting a chat related to drugs, the Narcotics Control Bureau came into the picture.
On 14 June 2020, Sushant’s body was found hanging from a fan in his Bandra flat. After his death, the case was investigated by Mumbai and Bihar Police, CBI, ED and NCB, but even after 9 months, it has not been cleared yet whether Sushant’s death was murder or suicide.
