The democrat came down heavily on Trump for calling India “filthy” when the two leaders had a final face-off at the last presidential debate.

“President Trump called India “filthy.” It’s not how you talk about friends-and it’s not how you solve global challenges like climate change,” Biden wrote on Twitter, referring to his running mate Kamala Harris.

Earlier on Friday, Trump called India and its air “filthy”. When questioned on Climate Change, he reiterated that the action on the global issue was unfair to the United States. He said, “Look at China, how filthy it is. Look at Russia, look at India — it’s filthy. The air is filthy.”

Biden, on the other hand, warned that we are going to pass the “point of no return” in next 10 years. He said that Climate change is an existential threat to humanity. “We have a moral obligation to deal with it, ” Biden said.

Donald Trump has pulled the US out of Paris Climate Accord in which the world leaders aimed to cap global warming below 2° Celsius.
