Parliament Adjourned For 30 Mins After Ruckus Over Anurag Thakur’s Remarks

Om Birla, the Lok Sabha Speaker, has adjourned the House for 30 minutes after ruckus over Anurag Thakur’s remarks.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled The Taxation and Other Laws (Relaxation and Amendment of Certain Provisions) Bill, 2020 in Lok Sabha today. The bill was reciprocated with choas and slogans and house was adjourned.

Opposition MPs created ruckus in parliament as FM Nirmala Sitharaman was introducing the bill.

Anurag Thakur was slammed by several opposition leaders including Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, for using “unparliamentary language”.
