Petrol, Diesel Prices Continue To Rise For The 10th Consecutive Day

Petrol price in Delhi has now reached close to Rs 90 a litre. It is at Rs 89.88. Diesel is Rs 80.27 a litre here.

The prices of petrol and diesel continue to rise in the country. Today, for the 10th day, oil companies have increased the prices. As a result of this, after Rajasthan, the price of petrol has also crossed Rs 100 per litre in Madhya Pradesh. Today, petrol is being sold at Rs 100.40 per litre in Anuppur in Madhya Pradesh. Yesterday, the price of petrol in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan was Rs 99.90.

Petrol price in Delhi has now reached close to Rs 90 a litre. It is at Rs 89.88. Diesel is Rs 80.27 a litre here. Petrol is being sold in Mumbai at Rs 96.32 and diesel at Rs 87.36 per litre. Today, petrol has increased by 35 paise and diesel by 32 paise.

Petrol and Diesel Prices Increase for 10th Day

This month, petrol-diesel has become expensive for the 12th time in the last 14 days. During this time, petrol in Delhi became expensive by Rs 3.58 and diesel by Rs 3.79. Earlier in January, rates were increased 10 times. So far this year, petrol has become costlier by Rs 6.17 and diesel by Rs 6.50 per litre 22 times.

Brent crude prices rose to $ 64

Yesterday, the price of Brent crude has crossed $ 64 per barrel on the London Exchange. Its impact is seen in the country today. Today, petrol became costlier by 32 paise per litre in Delhi. Diesel also became expensive by 32 paise. Petrol in Mumbai goes up to Rs 96.32. Whereas in Kolkata it is Rs 91.11, in Chennai it is Rs 91.98 per litre. The demand for crude oil has been steadily increasing in Asian countries including India and China. This led to a rise in international crude oil prices yesterday.

Why the prices of petrol diesel are increasing?

Since October, the price of crude oil has gone up by 50% to over $ 63.3. Crude oil has become costlier by 21% so far this year. One reason for inflation is that economic activity has opened up around the world and this has increased the demand for oil.
