PM Modi, Prez Kovind extends greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr

New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ramnath Kovind today extended their greetings to the citizens on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

President Kovind on his twitter handle wrote,  to all fellow citizens, especially to our Muslim brothers and sisters in India and abroad. The festival of Idu’l Fitr strengthens our belief in charity, fraternity and compassion. May this happy occasion bring joy and prosperity to everyone’s lives.”

While PM Modi wishing happiness to everyone said that this special day may ignite the spirit of harmony, compassion and peace in our society.

Former Vice President Hamid Ansari, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad and BJP’s Shahnawaz Hussain offered Namaz at a mosque on Parliament Street today. While Pakistan Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and Pakistan’s Acting High Commissioner to India, Syed Haidar Shah also offered Namaz at Jama Masjid.

Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated by the Muslims community around the world to mark the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramzan.
