PM Modi Seeks Nine Minutes From Indians, Asks To Light Diyas On Sunday

“On 9th April, at 9 PM for 9-minute switch off your power and light up a candle, mobile torch or diyas in solidarity with fight against COVID-19,” said PM Modi.

NEW DELHI| PM Modi today urged citizens across the nation to spare 9 minutes amid lockdown to fight against COVID-19. In his video message to the citizens, he said people across the globe have appreciated the response of Janta curfew and it has become an inspiration.

PM Modi said, “People have supported the Janta Curfew in large number. Its commendable many countries across the globe have appreciated and are following the thanksgiving method we Indian exercised. The thanksgiving has become an inspiration across the globe”.

PM Modi asked the citizen to spare some time to exercise nine-minute activity following social distancing. PM Modi said, “This Sunday 5th April we together are going to challenge the COVID-19. On 5th April, all 130 crore citizens I request 9 Min at 9 PM from you to switch off all lights and stand in balcony gallery. Use the mobile torch, or light the candle, diyas to show our strength. Everyone should promise that we are not alone to fight this pandemic”.

Modi also stressed on maintaining social distancing while performing the task. He said, “Do not travel anywhere. Eexercise this activity inside your home . In current time social distancing is the need”.

He added, “The strength we Indians have is remarkable. To raise the great power of 130 crore Indians and make everyone feel that no one is alone during the coronavirus lockdown.”

“We are not alone during the lockdown, the collective strength of 130 crore Indians is with every citizen,” PM Modi said.
