Accused of spreading coronavirus, a bleeding pregnant woman was asked to clean her own blood at a hospital in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur.
Ranchi: 30-year old Rizwana Khatoon of Jamshedpur, in her letter alleged that she was abused on the lines of her religion at the MGM hospital.
She said that she lost her child even before its birth due to delay in getting medical assistance.
She alleged that she was asked by the hospital staff to clean up blood after she reached Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College and Hospital in Jamshedpur on Thursday.
Rizwana Khatun in her letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday wrote: “When I reached MGM, I was still bleeding. The hospital staff abused me on the lines of my religion and I was asked to wipe the blood. I was beaten up with slippers. I was shocked and rushed to a nursing home. There I was told that my child had died.”

Rizwana, in the letter, has requested CM Hemant Soren to take urgent action on the accused so that such incident does not take place with others.
Jamshedpur Deputy Commissioner has ordered an investigation by making a team ordering it to submit a report within 48 hours.
