In one it’s largest user bases in the world after it was banned after having links with Chinese company Tencent, PUBG Mobile is now looking for ways to come back to India after it was recently banned.
As per the company’s statement, it has announced that it will “no longer authorise the PUBG Mobile franchise to Tencent Games in India. Moving forward, PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country.”
This unprecedented decision may result in the comeback of the game in India, which was banned a few days ago citing security reasons.
PUBG Corporation, a South Korean gaming company is the owner and developer of the game, which is the company’s intellectual property.
The company stands a right to establish the publishing platforms in select territories which is why it is proposing to move its publishing to India. This may comply with the Indian government’s policies and security concerns.
Earlier, the government had blocked 118 mobile apps (including PUBG Mobile) which it said were “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state and public order”.
