New Delhi| After a month-long deadlock, there was finally a truce between the Congress party and rebel party leader Sachin Pilot. On Monday, the former Rajasthan deputy CM met former party president Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other senior members along with the rebel leaders. The leaders discussed the deadlock in Rajasthan which has been in a political limbo for a month as MLAs were being shifted to various resorts and matter for floor test pending in the court. After the meeting, Pilot and 18 rebel MLAs seemed satisfied with the solution.
Late in the evening, Sachin Pilot tweeted thanking interim party president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi for noting and addressing the grievances of rebel MLAs. Pilot tweeted, “I stand firm in my belief & will continue working for a better India, to deliver on promises made to the people of Rajasthan & protect democratic values we cherish.”
In the two-hour long meeting, the party leadership discussed various issues including returning their posts to rebel MLAs, No disciplinary action on then, CM post and a committee to address their grievances.
‘Sonia-Rahul listened to me’
Sachin Pilot said, “A lot has been said against me. I have told the high command everything. I am happy that Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi listened to me. Our fellow MLAs had come to Delhi for some time. We had many issues of government and organization of the people on which we wanted to talk. There were some things that personally surprised me. I have been assured that all the issues that we have raised will be resolved soon by forming a three-member committee.”

Committee met rebel MLAs
The committee of Priyanka Gandhi, KC Venugopal and Ahmed Patel held talks with Sachin Pilot and his supporting legislators in Delhi on Monday night. Earlier, interim president Sonia Gandhi also spoke to Rajasthan CM Gehlot. After the meeting, a picture of the same was shared on social media.
