Rajasthan HC transfers judge hearing Salman Khan’s bail plea along with 87 others

The Rajasthan High Court sent transfer orders to 87 district level judges late Friday night. The 81 judges also include a judge who was hearing Salman Khan’s bail plea. Ravindra Kumar Joshi- a district and session court judge had suspended the sentence moved by Salman’s counsel.

On Thursday, Salman Khan was convicted in a Blackbuck Poaching case. He was sentenced to five years of imprisonment and Rs. 10000 fine. Soon after the verdict was pronounced, he was taken to Jodhpur Central Court where he spent one night.

Salman’s counsel appealed for his bail in the sessions court, however, judge Ravindra Joshi ruled that the hearing would continue on Saturday. After his transfer, it is to be seen whether the new judge appointee gives some relief to Salman Khan or not.

The hearing is scheduled at 10.30 AM in the morning.
