Ram Janmabhoomi Priest Expected To Attend ‘Bhoomi Poojan’ Tests Coronavirus Positive

Ayodhya| The Bhoomi-pujan for the Ram Janmabhoomi temple will be held in Ayodhya on August 5 next week. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the ceremony. However, days before the ceremony shocking news has come to light. Pradeep Das, the priest of the Ramjanmabhoomi temple, and 16 policemen deployed for the protection of the temple inside have tested positive for Coronavirus. Pradeep Das is a disciple of Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple and was also scheduled to attend the Bhoomi Pujan of the Ramlala temple.

After the foundation is laid, the construction of the temple will begin.

At the same time, on Wednesday, the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Trust, which is handling the responsibility of the temple, has appealed to the general public not to come to Ayodhya on the day of Bhoomi Poojan. A video of the Trust’s General Secretary Champat Rai has been released by the Hindu Council Center, in which he has appealed devotees to offer prayers from home and not visit the Ram Janmabhoomi.
