Mumbai| Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das has tested positive for Covid-19. Shaktikanta Das has told that he does not have symptoms of Corona infection and has isolated himself.
He also asked people who recently came in his contact to be vigilant. Das has said that the work of the Reserve Bank of India will continue smoothly and he will work in Isolation.
Shaktikanta Das himself has given this information on Twitter. He said that he is feeling fine. He said, “Those who have come in contact with me recently have been warned.” He said that work in the RBI will continue as usual.
I have tested COVID-19 positive. Asymptomatic.Feeling very much alright.Have alerted those who came in contact in recent days.Will continue to work from isolation. Work in RBI will go on normally. I am in touch with all Dy. Govs and other officers through VC and telephone.

Apart from Shaktikanta Das, currently many big leaders in the country have recently tested positive for Covid-19. These include former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi. Earlier, many ministers of the central government, including Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan have come under the grip of the deadly virus.
According to the Health Ministry, 45,149 cases of corona infection have been reported in the last 24 hours while 62,077 more people have recovered. Currently, the number of total recovered is 64,09,969 which is more than the number of patients being treated for corona.
So far, the number of people who died due to Corona virus infection has crossed 1,19,014.
