New Delhi: An assistant commissioner of police (ACP) has tested positive for COVID-19 while he was posted at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He has been admitted to a Delhi hospital. Many police personnel and staff of the presidential residence have been quarantined.
The senior official’s office is situated inside the Rashtrapati Bhavan building.
Delhi has recorded 9,333 COVID-19 cases and over 120 fatalities.
The total cases in India surged to 90,927 including over 34,000 cured/discharged or migrated and 2,872 deaths amid lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19.
In the past 24 hours, 120 casualties were recorded.
A staggering 4,987 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours, highest so far.

Across the country, at least 34,108 patients have cured so far the recovery rate stood at 33%.
Currently, there are 53,946 active COVID-19 patients in the country.
India is the 11th most-affected nation in terms of the total number of confirmed cases, overtaking China.
