Supreme Court adjourns Rafale hearing to March 14

New Delhi | The marathon 3 hour hearing of the Supreme Court on the Rafale case on Wednesday has been adjourned by the bench till March 14. The review petitions were filed by the petitioners after the verdict on December 14.

The Centre alleged that the documents regarding the case were stolen from the Defence Ministry, and the ones that the petitioners were relying on were in the violation of the Oficial Secrets Act

Prashant Bhushan, one of the petitioners in the case, alleged that there have been serious errors in the verdict of December 14. He said that he had obtained all the documents from whistleblowers in the 2G Scam case when SC had ordered a probe and the court had relied on the documents then.

Former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie and advocate Prashant Bhushan who had jointly filed the petition alleged that the Centre suppressed crucial facts when the apex court decided to dismiss the batch of PILs against the Rafale deal in December.
