Tejas successfully completed a major test to join the Navy on 13 September last year. Tejas became the first aircraft in the country to achieve this milestone.
New Delhi| Tejas, India’s indigenous fighter aircraft, made a successful Arrest landing on Navy aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya for the first time on Saturday. Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) officials said that the landing was carried out by Commander Jaideep Maolankar. This will increase the capabilities of the Navy’s on-deck operation.
After this Arrested Landing, the path has been cleared for the Navy to develop double engine Tejas. This is the first time an indigenous fighter aircraft has landed on the INS.

Tejas successfully completed a major test to join the Navy on 13 September last year. Tejas’ arrested landing at Goa’s coastal test facility was carried out by officials of DRDO and Aeronautical Development Agency. Tejas became the first aircraft in the country to achieve this milestone. This fighter aircraft was designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Aeronautical Development Agency.
