Hyderabad| A boat full of tourists capsized in the Godavari river in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. There were 63 people on the boat. Out of this, 10 people have been brought to safety. The bodies of seven people have been recovered. The search operation is being conducted by teams of SDRF and NDRF. Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy has asked Minister Avanti Srinivas to reach the spot. Expressing grief over the accident, Chief Minister Reddy has sought a report.
Chief Minister Reddy has instructed the officers to carry out relief and rescue operations at war level. The Chief Minister has also asked the officials to use ONGC and Navy helicopters in relief work. The Chief Minister has asked the officials to check the license of all boat operators along with stopping the operation of the boat with immediate effect.
