“Vaccination Drive From May 1 Will Start As Per Availability Of Doses: Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray

Maharashtra recorded 62,719 cases, 828 deaths and 69710 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in his address to the state today said that the vaccination drive from May 1 will start as per availability of doses and requested citizens to not crowd at vaccination centers unnecessarily. He also urged the Centre to increase its share of supply to the state and the earliest and asserted that the state has the capacity to innoculate 8-10lakh people every day.

  4. Due to curbs the active cases have been stabilized at 6.5 to 5 lakh in the state, against the prediction of 9-10 lakh active cases: CM Uddhav Thackeray

  6. In March 2020 state had only 2 labs which are increased to 609, testing capacity is increased. daily 2.5 lakh to be increased to 3 lakh. We are improving our health infra during the lockdown: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  7. Jumbo facilities and other amenities increased 2665 facilities have been increased to 5,500 covid health centers, beds rose to 4,31,000 from 2,36,000: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  8. Oxygen beds 86,000, ICU beds 28,937, ventilators 3744 to 11,713 available: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  9. The number of doctors, nurses cannot be increased. Oxygen availability is now an issue. Oxygen generation daily 1200 now using 1700 MT. Centre has given 500 MT quota from other states. bringing from there. paying for oxygen and transportation: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  10. Efforts are on to supply oxygen on time, maintaining balance. but if cases are increased then oxygen demand may rise further: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  11. The state needs daily 50000 Remdesivir vials. Centre is controlling the allocation. The state had been allocated 26,700 vials against 50,000 demand.: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  12. I urge doctors and patients that WHO and experts have warned not to use Remdesivir unnecessarily as there will be side effects. Please leave the usage of remdesivir to the doctors: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  13. Met divisional commissioners & collectors to set up oxygen generation plants. Tenders have been issued for the same. The establishment of the plant needs 20 days and for commissioning about 25 days. These plants will be up and running and the state will be able to meet demand oxygen third phase: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  14. We are also setting up jumbo care centres in the vicinity of steel and power generation plants to get easy oxygen supply: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  15. The state is setting up 175 PSA plants: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  16. The health machinery and equipment are under tremendous stress since last March. There are fire and oxygen leakage. Health warriors get depressed due to these incidents: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  17. In Parbhani tree fell on oxygen pipeline. Instructed that administration should take all precautions and do a structural audit of jumbo facilities to avoid untoward incidents: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  18. The govt announced Rs 5,476 cr package. Shiv Bhojan plate is served free of cost for 2 months. 15 lakh plates were served: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  19. 3.94 cr people were benefitted due to shiv Bhojan scheme 35 lakh beneficiaries for BPL Rs 1,428 crore disbursed 7 cr beneficiaries getting free wheat and rice: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  20. 9 lakh construction workers got money disbursed for housemaids and hawkers Khavti scheme implementation is underway for tribals: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  21. There are successive corona waves in various countries. Third-wave will strike. The state has started preparations: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  22. I spoke to industry leaders and trade union leaders and told him how they have to be ready to tackle the third corona wave. We will tackle it: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  23. CM Uddhav Thackeray defended the imposition of lockdown and said that even other states started to resort to curbs.
  24. The state has vaccinated 1.58 crore people, in testing and health facilities we are top. But the state is also at the top in the rise in corona patients: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  25. PM has agreed for vaccination of 45 year and above and later for 18-44. From May 1 vaccination will be done by the state. About 6 cr people will need 12 cr doses: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  26. The state govt has capacity to procure 12 cr by one time payment as we have to come out of the crisis: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  27. SII and Bharat Biotech have assured that state will get 18 lakh doses in May: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  28. 50% doses will be procured by the Centre and balance by states, industry, and pvt hospitals. In May, 18 lakh are expected though time not given.  Based on the availability of doses inoculation will be done
  29. Vaccination of 18-44 years will start from May 1 based on the vaccine availability. I sent letter to the Prime Minister to allow every state to prepare their own app to be connected with Co-Win app: CM Uddhav Thackeray while speaking about the Co-Win portal crash recently
  30. I urge the youth to show restraint. Register on the app and only then go to centers. Vaccine supply is expected to increase by July: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  31. I urge people not to gather but follow proper distancing at vaccination centres to avoid spread of infection: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  32. The state can vaccinate 10 lakh people per day if the state gets 1 to 2 crore doses: CM Uddhav Thackeray
  33. Govt is ready to procure vaccine doses at one go by making payment. CM urged Centre to organize supply
