When a party worker walking behind him tried to put his hand on Shivakumar’s shoulder, he got angry and slapped the worker.
Senior Congress leader and the chief of the Party’s Karnataka Unit DK Shivakumar was caught on camera slapping a party worker who tried to put his hand on his shoulder.
The Congress leader on Friday was in Mandya to check on the health of a party MP when the incident took place. When a party worker walking behind him tried to put his hand on Shivakumar’s shoulder, he got angry and slapped the worker.
“What is this behaviour at this place? I have given you freedom, but that doesn’t mean you can do this,” the Congress leader is overhead saying in the now viral video.
BJP spokesperson S Prakash, speaking on the incident, said: “The high-handed behaviour of DK Shivakumar towards his own karyakarta is highly deplorable. He is unable to shed his previous image. He is repeatedly indulging in arrogant behaviour even towards his own cadre. The party is being headed by a person who does not have basic decency in public life.”
