New Delhi| The number of patients recovering from the infection in the country has crossed 1.5 million amid increasing cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in India, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. According to the ministry, 80 per cent of total cases are concentrated in 10 states. According to the latest figures released by the Ministry, 62,064 new cases have been recorded in the last24 hours and 1,007 people have died. Meanwhile, 4,77,023 samples were tested during this period. For the fourth day in a row, more than 60 thousand cases of Corona have come to light in 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health, 22,15, 075 cases of Coronavirus have come to light in the country so far. Of these, 6,34,945 are active cases. While 15,35,744 patients have recovered. 44,386 patients have died. While 2,45,83,558 samples have been tested. The recovery rate is 69.33 per cent and the death rate is two per cent.
1.47 Lakh active cases in Maharashtra
A total of 5,17,332 cases of Coronavirus have been recorded in Maharashtra. Of these, 1,47,865 are active cases. While 3,51,710 patients have recovered and 17,757 patients have died. On the other hand, in Tamil Nadu, 2,96,901 cases have come to light. There are 53,336 active cases. 2,38,638 patients have recovered and 4927 people have died.
Andhra Pradesh has recorded 2,27,860 cases so far. There are 87,112 active cases in the state. More than 1.38 Lakh Coronavirus patients have recovered and 2036 people have died.
