New Delhi | Yoga guru Baba Ramdev today suggested that voting rights of people with more than 2 kids should be withdrawn in order to control the increasing population.
Speaking at an event in Haridwar, Ramdev said, “Special honours should be reserved for those who, like me, do not marry. And those who marry and give birth to more than two children should have their voting rights.”

Ramdev further stated the increasing population is a national issue and that Hindu scriptures mention the need to have 10 kids was when there was a slow population growth in the country. “Those who still want to have 10 kids should give one or two to me as well, he added.
Speaking on the concept of marriage, Ramdev said” Marriage is not an easy thing, many are yet to get married, and several are done with it. And if you have a child, then you will have to bear with them for the entire life,” he added.
