Young Congress Leaders Voice Support For Sachin Pilot Amid Rajasthan Political Crisis

In recent times, the differences between the old guards of the Indian National Congress and young leaders of the party have been clearly visible.

Though the Congress has sacked Sachin Pilot from the post of Dy. CM of Rajasthan and President of PCC, many young leaders from Congress have voiced their support for Pilot through tweets.

Congress leader Jitin Prasada said, “Sachin Pilot is not just a collegues but my friend. No one can take away the fact that all these years he has worked with dedication for the party. Sincerely hope the situation can still be salvaged. Sad it has come to this…”

INC leader and ex- Member of Parliament from Mumbai Priya Dutt expressed that being ambitious is not wrong. She said, “Another friend leaves the party both sachin and jyotirajya were colleagues & good friends unfortunately our party has lost 2 stalwart young leaders with great potential. I don’t believe being ambitious is wrong. They have worked hard through the most difficult times.”

Sanjay Jha, whose twitter bio now mentions “Sacked as National Spokesperson for writing:” India needs a reawakened and revitalized Congress, ready to win the second freedom struggle”, expressed his dismay over the turn of events in Rajasthan. Jha has been already sacked by the Congress party after he wrote a public critique of Congress pointing out the lack of internal democracy at the national party.

Jha attributing the party’s success in Rajasthan to Sachin Pilot, said, “For five years Sachin Pilot gave his blood, tears, toil, and sweat for the Congress party between 2013-18. The Congress came back from a wretched 21 seats to 100. We just gave him a performance bonus. We are so meritocratic. We are so transparent.”

In recent times, the differences between the old guards of the Indian National Congress and young leaders of the party have been clearly visible. Many accuse that Congress is run by a small group of people who make all important decisions and other voices are not given platform and importance.

The gap in the Congress party became visible after Jyotiraditya Scindia left Congress party and joined hands with the BJP.
