Ancient Idols Found In Karnataka River Similar To Ram Lalla

An ancient Vishnu idol and a shivling were discovered in Karnatakaโ€™s Raichur district, retrieved during bridge construction on the Krishna River near Devasugur village. The idols, including the Dashavatar of Lord Krishna, drew comparisons to the recently consecrated Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya. Dr. Padmaja Desai highlighted the distinctive features and intricate craftsmanship of the Vishnu idol.

India Records 110 Heatwave Deaths; Eastern Monsoon Imminent

The scorching heatwave sweeping across most of India has claimed 110 lives since March, although light to moderate showers in Delhi and Kolkata provided much-needed relief on Thursday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts monsoon advancement in the next 3โ€“4 days over east central and eastern India. Uttar Pradesh reported the highest heatwave-related deaths (36), followed by Bihar (17) and Rajasthan (16), according to Health Ministry data. Madhya Pradesh registered the most heatstroke cases (10,636), with only five fatalities.
