Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah revealed that Bengaluru faces a daily water deficit of 500 million litres against its requirement of 2,600 MLD amid the city’s severe water crisis. He noted that 6,900 out of 14,000 borewells in Bengaluru have dried up. Officials have been instructed to convene daily to devise a solution plan.
