Bengaluru Sets Rainfall Record, Highest In June In 133 Years

Bengaluru broke a 133-year-old record with its highest June rainfall on Sunday, receiving 111.1 mm. This remarkable downpour coincided with the onset of the Southwest Monsoon. The city had previously recorded 101.6 mm on June 16, 1891. The weather department issued a yellow alert for cloudy skies and intermittent rain or thundershowers from June 3 to 5.
