A key national security adviser to President Joe Biden, Jon Finer, is in India for talks on bilateral issues, including the alleged plot to assassinate Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu on U.S. soil, according to the White House.
The visit, led by Finer, aims to assess progress in the US-India Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET).

The White House statement noted Finer’s recognition of India’s establishment of an inquiry committee to investigate the alleged plot and the importance of holding those responsible accountable.
Last week, the US Justice Department charged Indian national Nikhil Gupta, 52, in connection with the alleged murder plot against Pannun.
