In Karnataka’s Tumakuru district, police busted a child trafficking ring, rescuing six babies aged 11 months to 2.5 years. Four individuals were arrested, including Mahesh, a government hospital nurse, Mehboob Shariff, a private hospital owner, and delivery nurses Sowjanya and Poornima. They sold unwanted babies to childless couples for Rs 2-3 lakh through illegal adoptions.
