The Delhi High Court dealt another setback to the Congress by rejecting its plea to halt the income tax demand notice for recovering ₹105 crore in outstanding taxes. The party contested the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal’s March decision denying a stay on the demand notice. Justice Yashwant Varma’s bench found no reason to intervene in the tribunal’s ruling.
