“Drive Carefully”: Shikar Dhavan’s Advice To Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant

Both the ODI and T20I squads for India’s series against Sri Lanka did not include Rishabh Pant. Whether Pant was hurt, rested, or dropped was not made clear in the BCCI press release.

After star India cricketer Rishabh Pant’s near-fatal accident an old video of veteran opener Shikhar Dhavan suggesting the fire-brand cricketer to drive carefully is making rounds on the internet.

The video is a three-year-old video, during the cash-rich Indian Premier League’s team events. The video was a promotional video shot by the Delhi Capitals franchise.

In the 13-second video, the wicketkeeper-batsman is seen asking for advice that the star opener would give him.

To which Dhavan responded: “Gaadi aaram se Chala”, which translates to drive carefully.

Indian Cricketer Rishabh suffered a major accident after his car collided with the divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway yesterday. He has injuries on his forehead and legs.

Doctors reported that Pant had a broken leg and a forehead injury. Dehat Swapna Kishore Singh, the superintendent of police, arrived at the location after receiving the information. Rishabh Pant has been taken to Max Dehradun, according to Dr. Sushil Nagar, the chairman of Saksham Hospital, who stated that his status is currently stable.

Witnesses said that Rishabh’s car hit the railing and started fire. The fire was just just put out after much struggle. At the same time, Rishabh Pant was rushed to Saksham Hospital on Delhi Road after suffering serious injuries in the collision.

Because the BCCI wanted to give the Delhi wicketkeeper a break before the two-match Test series, he was not selected to play in the one-day internationals against Bangladesh.
