Eknath Shinde Releases First List Of Candidates

On Thursday, Shiv Sena, led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, unveiled its initial roster of 8 Lok Sabha election candidates. Among them, Rahul Shewale will represent Mumbai South West. Sanjay Mandlik, Sadashiv Lokhande, Hemant Patil, and Raju Parwe are the other nominees from Kolhapur, Shirdi, Hingoli, and Ramtek, respectively.

Shiv Sena, part of the NDA alliance with Ajit Pawar’s NCP, awaits seat-sharing decisions with the BJP and NCP in Maharashtra. Earlier reports suggested Shiv Sena might vie for 12-13 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP, Sena, and NCP have yet to finalize their seat distribution in the state.

SBI Revises Maintenance Charges For Debit Cards

State Bank of India (SBI) will implement revised annual maintenance charges for certain debit card categories starting April 1. The updated rates, effective for Classic/Silver/Global, Yuva/Gold, Platinum, and Pride/Premium Business cards, will increase ₹75.

Additional fees include issuance (ranging from Nil to ₹300 plus GST), replacement, duplicate PIN, and international transactions. All charges are subject to 18% GST. SBI also adjusted its Minimum Day Bill Calculation process for credit cards from March 15 and will discontinue reward points accrual on rent payments for some credit cards starting April 1, 2024.
