Previously, the director Advait Chandan hit out at haters for claiming the trolls were “paid” to give the film more exposure. His hilarious reaction in an Instagram story read, “I was told that people are being paid to troll Aamir Sir. It is deeply shocking to hear and totally unfair. and added the hashtag #PayEveryTroll.”
Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha is facing backlash because of his comment on ‘intolerance in India’ that he made back in 2015 saying that he and his then-wife Kiran Rao suggested they move to a different country fearing the atmosphere. The trolls have been using his scenes from his movies where he is seen raising questions to the Hindu dieties and have related that to his picture when he performed Haj in 2012, the trolls mentioned in the post “This is how he(Aamir khan) mocks dharma” attempting to relate it to communal clashes. Those posts are trending on social media with the trolls asking him to justify ,but it seems that these trolls have proved Aamir’s statement on intolerance right.
Although, Aamir has urged people to watch the film saying he is not the only one alone who has worked for it but hundred of people were behind working hard for the film. As per reports, he has also said that he really loves his country and respects everybody’s sentiments, claims made against him are untrue.
Laal Singh Chaddha is a remake of the Hollywood cult classic Forrest Gump. The film will mark Aamir’s return to the big screen after nearly four years. Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya, the comedy-drama will hit theaters on August 11.
