Kerala Rains: IMD Issues Red Alert For Three Districts; Water Logging In Thiruvananthpuram

Water logging was seen in several areas of Kerala’s Thiruvananthpuram after rains lashed the city last night. The Indian Meteorological Department issued a red alert for extreme rainfall in three districts – Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Kottayam – on Sunday and Monday. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha and Ernakulam are on orange alert for isolated very heavy rainfall on both days. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has advised the people to remain alert.
