Ladakh Innovator Threatens โ€œFast Unto Deathโ€ Ahead Of Centre Talks

Sonam Wangchuk, an advocate for Ladakhโ€™s constitutional safeguards, stated that the planned โ€œfast unto deathโ€ protest will be reassessed next week based on discussions with the Centre regarding Ladakhโ€™s demands, such as statehood. Depending on the outcome of the talks, a large public gathering is scheduled in Leh City on February 26 to either express gratitude for the governmentโ€™s acknowledgement of Ladakhโ€™s demands or commence a hunger strike until death if negotiations prove unsuccessful.
