Ladakh Innovator Threatens “Fast Unto Death” Ahead Of Centre Talks

Sonam Wangchuk, an advocate for Ladakh’s constitutional safeguards, stated that the planned “fast unto death” protest will be reassessed next week based on discussions with the Centre regarding Ladakh’s demands, such as statehood. Depending on the outcome of the talks, a large public gathering is scheduled in Leh City on February 26 to either express gratitude for the government’s acknowledgement of Ladakh’s demands or commence a hunger strike until death if negotiations prove unsuccessful.
