Mahadev App Case: Bhupesh Baghel Did Not Receive Rs 508 Crore Payment , Says Accused

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel faced accusations of receiving ₹508 crore in the Mahadev betting app case from an alleged courier, Asim Das, apprehended by the Enforcement Directorate. However, Das has now retracted his statement, asserting that he never delivered cash to politicians and is a victim of framing.

Contrary to earlier statements, Das, in a letter penned from jail to the ED Director, refuted making any such allegations. He claimed to be a victim of framing, stating that officials coerced him into signing a statement in English, a language he does not comprehend

Asim Das was arrested on November 3 with over ₹5 crore in cash, just four days before the first phase of Chhattisgarh assembly elections.
