Manipur Chief Ministerโ€™s Message To Protesters

Amid speculation about a leadership change in crisis-hit Manipur, Chief Minister N Biren Singh stated that staying on as Chief Minister or resigning is not in his hands. Reports indicate some MLAs from his party and its allies are pushing for his removal following BJPโ€™s loss in both Lok Sabha seats. Singh attributed the defeat to a โ€œrebellious situationโ€ and acknowledged public dissatisfaction with handling the crisis, though he noted the BJPโ€™s vote percentage had not significantly decreased.
