Mumbai: Protest erupted again against the Maharashtra government’s decision to relocate the metro car shed back to aarey forestĀ in Mumbai.
People held placards of āSave Aarey forestā and raised slogans against the newly formed Eknath Shinde- Devendra Fadnavis government.
A heavy police force has been deployed in the forest area to maintain the law and order situation.

Members of political parties like AAP, Shiv-Sena, and MNS were also present to show support for the environmentalist.
Shiv Sena leaderĀ Priyanka Chaturvedi, AAP’s National Executive MemberĀ Preeti Sharma Menon, Chembur Taluka Adhiyaksh Sudesh Patel, and members of MNS also marked their presence.
Ngo’s such as Lokachi Shakti and Bombay Catholic Sabha were also there to oppose the metro car shed in aarey.
The Aarey Colony, measuring 1,287 hectares and located adjacent to the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, is known as the green lung of Mumbai.
