Mukhtar Ansariโ€™s Son Granted Bail For Poll Code Breach

On Monday, the Supreme Court approved bail for Umar Ansari, son of late gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, in a criminal case from the 2022 assembly elections, alleging a breach of the model code of conduct. Justices Hrishikesh Roy and PK Mishra directed Umar to attend the trial court proceedings. Previously, on January 25, the Supreme Court had shielded him from arrest in this matter.
