A Mumbai court on Wednesday ordered Mihir Shah, accused in the BMW hit-and-run case and son of a Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) politician, to seven days of police custody until July 16. Arrested after a 72-hour manhunt, police described the crime as “cruel” and requested maximum custody to investigate his escape accomplices and recover the car’s number plate.
