NDPS Court Directs “Permanent” Release Of Aryan Khan’s Passport, Cancels Bail Bond

Aryan Khan

Aryan Khan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, will get back his passport after the special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act court Wednesday allowed the release of the same. Aryan’s passport was in court’s custody as per the bail condition in the Cordelia cruise drugs case. As the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) showed no objection, the court allowed his passport to be released.

Aryan is one of the six accused in the case discharged by the anti-drugs agency. Bail bonds of the applicant stand cancelled and his surety stands discharged, the court further noted.

Special judge V V Patil directed the court registrar to release and return the passport to the applicant “permanently”, the Indian Express reported.

Aryan Khan, in his plea before the court, argued that he was granted bail by the Bombay High Court last year after being arraigned as an accused in the case. Senior advocate Amit Desai and advocate Rahul Agarwal represented Aryan Khan in the court. As per his bail condition, Aryan was asked to deposit his passport with the trial court, which he had complied with.

The NCB, after an investigation, found that there was no incriminating evidence against him and did not name him as an accused in the chargesheet, Aryan Khan’s plea said. The star kid had sought return of his passport.

In its reply to Aryan Khan’s application, the NCB stated that it had no objection to the prayer for return of passport and cancellation of bail bond.
