Two survivors of the IC 814 hijack controversy have spoken out, defending Netflix’s portrayal of the terrorists’ codenames in the series. One survivor clarified that while the series missed some internal incidents, it accurately reflected the use of Hindu codenames by Muslim hijackers. Survivor Pooja Kataria emphasized that “Bhola” and “Shankar” were aliases, not fictional creations. She said while speaking to India Today. “Burger, Doctor, Bhola, Shankar, and Chief, were the codenames of the five terrorists. What you see in the Netflix show, is what we went through,” she added
