The 31-year-old trainee doctor’s body was found inside the seminar hall of RG Kar Hospital on August 9. The incident triggered widespread protests by healthcare professionals and people across India.

According to News18, the CFSL report further strengthens the apprehension raised by the section of doctors in the state. They from the beginning claimed that the actual “scene of the crime” was somewhere else. They also suggested that the body was shifted to the seminar hall after the rape and murder to mislead future investigations.

On August 14, the Experts from CFSL, Delhi, examined the hospital premises. The team collected samples from the alleged crime scene i.e. the seminar hall. The samples include the wooden stage mattress where the trainee doctor was allegedly assaulted.

The findings have added to the intrigue of the case, raising doubts about whether the crime was committed at the spot in the seminar hall. According to the forensic analysis “no biological stains” were detected from the crime scene and the collected samples.

The findings by the CFSL report to the CBI have created doubts about the actual crime scene. Meanwhile, this development comes on the same day Calcutta High Court will hear a plea. The plea was filed by the parents of the deceased doctor seeking a fresh probe into the case.
