India marks its 75th Republic Day today with French President Emmanuel Macron as the chief guest. The official program begins at Kartavya Path after President Droupadi Murmu unfurls the tricolour, followed by the national anthem. Over 70,000 security personnel are deployed in the capital, with 14,000 securing Kartavya Path. This year’s parade spotlight is on the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas and the recently inducted C-295 transport aircraft, making their debut flypast. A 95-member French delegation joins Indian soldiers on the Kartavya Path for the celebrations.
