New Delhi: Actress Richa Chadha issued an apology today after removing a controversial tweet that seen to mock a top army commanderโs call for reclaiming Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) by making reference to the 2020 Galwan conflict with Chinese forces.
โEven though it can never be my intention in the least, if the 3 words which are being dragged into a controversy have offended or hurt anyone, I feel sorry and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words have triggered this feeling in my brothers in the fauj (army) of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious part,โ Richa Chadha said in her apology tweet.
The actress had earlier posted one controversial post on Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivediโs declaration that the army is โalways readyโ for any order from the on taking back of kashmir parts which occupied by pakistan illegally and โwould give them a befitting replyโ.
After this tweet the post went viral with many people calling it โshameful and disgracefulโ.
In her post where she apologizes for her tweet she said her grandfather was a โLieutenant Colonelโ and took a bullet in the leg in the Indo-China war. โMy Mamaji was a paratrooper. Itโs in my blood. A whole family is affected when a son is martyred or even injured while saving the nation which is made up of people like us and I personally know how it feels. It is an emotive issue for me,โ she said.
