Speaking to HW news Mr. Zoru Bathena who has been an active member of the Aarey moment said that the case which was expected to be heard on Friday will now be heard on Wednesday.
Save Aarey activists are not ready to give up soon. Despite detentions, alleged lathi charges, and FIRs, have not stopped the environmentalist from coming on the ground in large numbers. Aarey, Birsa Munda Chowk saw the highest number of save aarey protestors against the metro car shed since the moment resumed in 2022 around 5 weeks ago.
Speaking to HW news Mr. Zoru Bathena who has been an active member of the Aarey moment said that the case which was expected to be heard on Friday will now be heard on Wednesday by a bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud.

People from the Adivasi community who reside in the forest were present in good strength. One of the members of the community said if the Thackeray government can shift the metro car shed to Kanjurmarg why cannot this government? responding to whether Aarey could be an agenda of the upcoming BMC polls she said “Those who save the aarey will come to power.”
The Mumbai unit of the Aam Admi Party was also present in large numbers supporting the Save Aarey protestors. AAP Mumbai working president Ruben Mascarenhas along with joint secretary Raj Sharma had joined the moment.
“We as a community, we as a group, we as a movement are there together no matter who gets detained, no matter who gets arrested we will stand behind them, we will go the police station.” Mr. Mascarenhas told HW news when asked about his message for the activists who were slapped with FIRS.
“We are doing what is logical, what is legal, this country is the Republic of India, this is our 75th Independence anniversary and we have our constitution still in force its not Fadnvavi’s rule,” the AAP working president said.
The activists sang the national anthem before vacating the place.
