The sons of six former Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers are entering the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, running in Pulivendula, is the son of former CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Rajasekhar Reddy, a six-time representative of Pulivendula, died in a chopper crash in 2009. Nara Lokesh, son of three-time CM N Chandrababu Naidu, is contesting for the second time. He will face YSRCP’s M Lavanya. Lokesh is also the grandson of former CM N T Rama Rao (NTR), who founded the TDP. Tollywood actor N Balakrishna, son of NTR, is running from Hindupur again. Janasena leader N Manohar, son of former CM N Bhaskar Rao, is contesting from Tenali on behalf of the NDA. N Ramkumar Reddy, son of former CM N Janardhan Reddy, is running from Venkatagiri on a YSRCP ticket. K Surya Prakash Reddy, son of another former CM K Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, will contest from Dhone on a TDP ticket.
