Engineer-turned-philanthropist Sudha Murty was sworn in as a Rajya Sabha MP on Thursday, and her husband, NR Narayana Murthy, was in attendance. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar administered the oath in his Parliament House chamber. Leader of the House Piyush Goyal also witnessed the ceremony. Murty, 73, was nominated to the Rajya Sabha on International Women’s Day, March 8.
